First and Second had a jam-packed two months in the lead up to the Christmas holidays!

In Math they had a lot of fun exploring the topic of Data. They created different pictographs and bar graphs based on personal interests and particularly enjoyed creating survey topics to survey the Junior and Senior infants about, before graphing their data too.

In Geography and Science, they learned all about the sun and day and night, as well as the planets that make up our solar system. Cillian from 6th class brought down his model of the solar system to tell them more about it!

The children had their own “Late Late Toy Show’ where they had the opportunity to show a toy, perform a skill, sing a song or perform a dance. There were also some treats for everyone in the audience!

The highlight of the term was First and Second’s Christmas play “Little Reindeer Rap”. We are so proud of their performance, especially as for many, it was their first time on stage performing to an audience. They worked very hard and had a lot of fun rehearsing and were excellent in their performance. Well done everyone!
